Nata come Orto Botanico, custode di numerose specie di piante autoctone di diversi paesi italiani, la Villa Comunale di Teramo nel 1882/1884 divenne per lo più un giardino di pubblica utilità della città, trasformandosi in un grande parco cittadino.
All’interno della Villa è possibile passeggiare ed ammirare le varie specie di alberi e fiori che colorano il giardino ed osservare le tante specie animali che vi abitano come ad esempio i numerosi volatili che hanno scelto la Villa Comunale come casa tra cui cigni, aironi, oche e tantissimi uccellini variopinti.
Durante la passeggiata è possibile anche visitare l’antico edificio della Pinacoteca Civica, inserita architettonicamente all’interno della Villa, custode di opere d’arte di alto pregio del territorio abruzzese.
