Durante i lavori di recupero dell’antica Cattedrale di Santa Maria Aprutiensis, è stata rinvenuta una Domus Romana risalente al I secolo a.C., le cui fondamenta furono usate come area cimiteriale.
Questa residenza di epoca romana, oggi conosciuta come Domus di Largo Torre Bruciata, presenta una pavimentazione caratterizzata da mosaico bianco con fascia perimetrale nera e mura decorate con campiture geometriche, al cui centro vengono rappresentati dei vegetali stilizzati.
L’area meridionale è caratterizzata da una pavimentazione in cocciopesto e tessere bianche, mentre gli intonaci conservano delle campiture geometriche di colore giallo ed ocra.
L’ultima area, ovvero quella del lato settentrionale presenta la stessa pavimentazione in cocciopesto, ma a differenza dell’ambiente meridionale, il tutto è arricchito da tessere bianche a forma di rombi agli apici. Sulle mura vengono ancora conservati dei bellissimi dipinti a fondo rosso con campiture geometriche e decorazioni vegetali.
During the restoration work of the ancient Cathedral of Santa Maria Aprutiensis, a Roman Domus dating back to the 1st century BC was found, the foundations of which were used as a cemetery area.
This Roman residence, now known as Domus di Largo Torre Bruciata, has a pavement characterized by white mosaic with a black perimeter band and walls decorated with geometric backgrounds, in the center of which stylized plants are represented.
The southern area is characterized by a cocciopesto flooring and white tiles, while the plasters retain geometric backgrounds of yellow and ocher.
The last area, namely that of the northern side, has the same cocciopesto flooring, but unlike the southern environment, everything is enriched with white diamond-shaped tiles at the apexes. On the walls are still preserved some beautiful paintings with a red background with geometric backgrounds and plant decorations.
Durante las obras de recuperación de la antigua Catedral de Santa María Aprutiensis se descubrió una Domus Romana que data del siglo I a.C., cuyos cimientos se utilizaban como zona de cementerio.
Esta residencia de época romana, hoy conocida como Domus di Largo Torre Bruciata, tiene un piso caracterizado por mosaicos blancos con una banda perimetral negra y paredes decoradas con fondos geométricos, en cuyo centro se representan plantas estilizadas.
La zona sur se caracteriza por suelos de cocciopesto y azulejos blancos, mientras que el yeso conserva fondos geométricos en amarillo y ocre.
La última zona, la del lado norte, tiene el mismo pavimento de cocciopesto, pero a diferencia de la zona sur, todo está enriquecido con azulejos blancos en forma de rombo en los vértices. En las paredes aún se conservan bellas pinturas sobre un fondo rojo con fondos geométricos y decoraciones vegetales.
Bei den Restaurierungsarbeiten der antiken Kathedrale Santa Maria Aprutiensis wurde ein römischer Domus aus dem 1. Jahrhundert v. Chr. entdeckt, dessen Fundamente als Friedhofsgelände genutzt wurden.
Diese römische Residenz, heute bekannt als Domus di Largo Torre Bruciata, hat einen Boden, der durch ein weißes Mosaik mit einem schwarzen Randband gekennzeichnet ist, und Wände, die mit geometrischen Hintergründen verziert sind, in deren Mitte stilisierte Pflanzen dargestellt sind.
Der südliche Bereich ist durch einen Cocciopesto-Bodenbelag und weiße Fliesen gekennzeichnet, während der Putz geometrische gelbe und ockerfarbene Hintergründe aufweist.
Der letzte Bereich auf der Nordseite weist den gleichen Cocciopesto-Bodenbelag auf, ist jedoch im Unterschied zum südlichen Bereich an den Spitzen mit weißen rautenförmigen Fliesen verziert. An den Wänden sind noch immer schöne rote Hintergrundmalereien mit geometrischen Hintergründen und Pflanzendekorationen erhalten.
